The Lacey and Smith families are committed to the ‘organic’ lifestyle where possible. They have seen a need for organic products to be more accessible to the average family in both availability and price. They are a small business able to provide personal advice and customer relations to pass on to you their experience in organics.

Here’s a bit about the companies we’re buying from.

Chantal: Organic wholesaler of fruit, vege and dry goods in Napier. (See the back page regarding the varying certifications.)

Ceres: Organic wholesaler in Auckland.

Ecostore: “Natural, plant-based & free of any nasty chemicals, proudly NZ made, contain safe ingredients from renewable resources, are super concentrated & therefore more economical, GE free, not tested on animals, goods are packed in recyclable packaging & they meet the highest environmental standards.”

Ngamara Farm: Organic farm in Marton supplying meat and grain. Fully certified. All meat is pre-packaged in meal sized portions. You receive a variety of cuts in your order from stewing steak to the posh stuff. In other words you can’t order specific cuts. Also, wheat and dinkel wheat (spelt) and rolled oats. (I have been buying their meat and grain for several years and have been very happy with it. We visited their farm last Christmas and were impressed with what we saw. Christine)
