Newsletter for 20 December, 2009

Last call for free range Champagne Hams and turkeys - we still have a few of these left, so get in touch with us to orders yours as soon as possible. Our two delivery days this week are Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd.

Champagne Hams have had their bone removed (except for a hock at the top of the leg) so there's more meat for your dollar. We also have stuffing for you turkey - gluten free available, too.

Here's a new salad recipe that's good enough for entertaining this Summer. It's different, which can become a challenge - "Oh, no, not another salad!" It's called Cauliflower Risotto. Hint: don't tell the kids and other suspicious eaters, till after (if at all). So easy to make and eat, and another great way to get your vegies into your darlings.

From Helen, Kim and Christine - we wish you not only a Happy Christmas but a relaxing, relatively healthy one where you can unwind, read books, enjoy family and friends, eat ham and turkey in many creative ways, and best of all, feast copiously on the myriad array of fresh fruit and vegetables!

PS. Don't forget to tuck that turkey carcass and ham bone away in your freezer. It will be the furtherest thing from your mind over Christmas and Summer but Autumn and Winter come around (how's that for reliable prophesy?) and the delicious base of a hearty soup awaits you.

Christine (with Helen and Kim)
